Using Institute for Excellence in Writing’s books, All Things Fun and Fascinating and Linguistic Development Through Poetry Memorization, Language Explorers will further develop their writing skills, memorize and recite poetry, build their vocabulary and practice their handwriting. In addition to writing lessons found in All Things Fun and Fascinating, where students will “learn to write with structure and style” from the lessons based on “humorous characters, cunning creatures, and meritorious men of history”, students will learn a new poem each week through recitation and submit a neatly-written copywork of the poem in a spiral notebook.  Students will learn new vocabulary words each week from both sources and take periodic vocabulary quizzes.
