AROUND THE WORLD WITH PICTURE BOOKS
Travel the world through delightful children’s picture books! Introduce your K-3rd children to world geography and culture with award-winning literature. Year One covers Asia, Africa, Australia, and Antarctica. In Asia we explore China, Japan, Thailand, and India. In Africa we visit Morocco, Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, and Ghana. This course includes nature study, folktales, fables, music, art, poetry, and history. This class will be spread over three class periods throughout the day. Activities will be geared towards each student's level. Moms of very young children will assist in this class.
P.E.
Class time will consist of age-appropriate exercises and active group games.
LUNCH
All ages will eat lunch together in the Harry Myers building. After eating, kids are free to play outside at the playground or just hang out and relax until time for the next class.
ENRICHMENT: ART & COOKING AROUND THE WORLD
The Enrichment class hour for these students will be filled with the fun art and cooking activities from the Beautiful Feet "Around the World" curriculum. These activities will coordinate with the lessons which the students will complete during the early part of each REACH day. Moms of young children will be needed to assist in this class.
