It's a spoof of an Agatha Christie novel called "And There There Were None". You can view a few pages of the script at the link above. Take a look and see which characters you might be interested in playing. I've read through the script and have some ideas about who should play which role, but as always I want to hear your opinion on which part you'd like. (We have added in a narrator part, by the way.)
One day one of class, I will randomly assign parts and we will read through the entire play, so be prepared! After that I will ask you to tell me three parts that you would be interested in playing. Casting will be done and announced before our second week of REACH.
Julia Dion will be in charge of stage managing, set design, props, and costumes. I will expect you all to happily pitch in and give her whatever help she needs.
Lucy Lively will be acting as director. I will expect you all to give her the same respect that you would give to an adult teacher.
Grace McConnell will be overseeing makeup and hair. I will expect you all to be cooperative and listen to her suggestions for your makeup and hair. (Only one character will need extensive makeup.)
Would any of you be interested in taking charge of sound/sound effects? If you want to take control of that aspect, that means that you are completely responsible to make sure we have the sounds we need. Of course we will help you, but ultimately it's in your hands.
I will be overseeing the class, along with Maureen Mann and Lynda Dion. Although the play will be "student-led", we will have the final word on everything. You are free to come to us at any time with any issues that need to be addressed. We will be involved with each week's rehearsal and will be available to help as needed.
